Hailing from West Yorkshire, Scott is well known within and around the local music scene and has built up his fantastic reputation by playing many pub gigs and local venues in the area. Mostly alternative, Scott is also quite well known for sticking to his Blues and Folk which he is strongly influenced by. Having brought out an album last year which went down a storm with his fans, he has worked very hard to promote it further by performing such gigs in and around Leeds and now comes some more new and exciting material.
From the new single ‘Can I Sing About Love’, we can hear a sample of these genres. You would have thought it would be an odd mix, but it all fits together quite nicely and Scott proves to us fans once again that he is one of the best acoustic singers on the Leeds music circuit. Both live and in the studio, Scott experiments with different instruments in his music and has even tried beat-boxing! He clearly wants to do something different – a welcome change in today’s music industry!
In this single, we hear a calming piano intro which gives the build up to the song, followed by Scott’s husky and highly addictive vocals. It cements perfectly together and makes for a great upbeat love song to sing along to. We also hear a shaker in the background proving that Scott hasn’t altered his experimentation with alternative percussion.
